Our purpose is to connect former students, the Stoughton Area School District, and the broader community! The Stoughton Alumni Association provides these opportunities through its website, social media, and in person events. In order to create the best possible experience for all members, we ask that everyone follow a few basic rules of participation.
- Respectful Interaction: In maintaining a positive community, we ask that you always be respectful and courteous in your interactions. Any disrespectful language, personal attacks, or bullying behavior will not be tolerated. We aim to foster a culture of respect and understanding.
- No Unwanted Advertising or Promotion: Our online community is designed for our Stoughton Alumni and community engagement, not commercial promotion. We kindly ask that you refrain from sending or posting personal advertisements or promotional content.
- Privacy: We highly value and respect privacy. Do not share confidential or sensitive information about alumni, current students, staff, or community members without their explicit consent. It's crucial to maintain the privacy and security of our community members.
- No Discrimination or Hate Speech: As a school district, we are committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment. Discriminatory remarks, hate speech, or actions that marginalize any group or individual are not acceptable. Everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.
- Responsibility: Remember that your posts are public and can reflect on the Alumni Association and the school district. Please think before you post and ensure your contributions are constructive. We all have a role in making our online community a positive space.
- Reporting: If you see any content that violates these guidelines, we urge you to report it to the school district's communications department. We rely on our community members to help us maintain a respectful and safe online environment.
