From the halls of Stoughton High to the front lines of service, Andy Valdez has consistently modeled leadership and resilience. Following his 2018 graduation, Andy joined the U.S. Army. His service included a pivotal 2020 deployment to Afghanistan, where he forged a leadership style built on discipline and high-stakes decision-making. Andy rose through the ranks to become a Staff Sergeant before retiring, due to medical conditions, in October 2025.
Andy has since transitioned his military expertise into community leadership in Virginia. As of November 2025, he serves as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the Town of Gordonsville and as the Middle School Head Wrestling Coach at Floyd T. Binns. Whether he is managing community resources or mentoring student-athletes on the mat, Andy continues to demonstrate the dedication and grit that began right here in Stoughton.
